For the last 4 years, I have taught hundreds of business owners to grow their Facebook following and I have grown my pages to over 4 Million Followers. However, there are newer social media platforms coming up all the time and one of them is Uptrennd.
In this article, I want to show you some of the things I learned about growing a Facebook platform and how you can use it for Uptrennd.
As the Uptrennd platform grows it's going to become more competitive to get upvotes on your posts and your comments. So from the start establish a great Uptennd practice and follow these principles and you'll get a lot more out of this platform.

When you start creating content for Uptrennd think of the 3 main entities involved: The Reader, Uptrennd and Yourself

Think about what Uptrennd wants from its users: they want their users to read great content and to share posts and upvote posts on their platform and they want to keep them on their platform as long as possible.
To keep readers using their platform Uptrennd want to see quality content and quality comments. Not just comments that are there for the upvote but engaging comments that show you have read and watched the content.
The Readers Perspective
You’re a user of Uptrennd, what type of stories do you like to read on your feed or on the trending page, do you like videos, do you like quotes, do you like questions, polls, quizzes. just think about how you use Uptrennd and how you like to interact on it.
When you’re posting anything to your own channel you’ve always got to have the reader in mind, it’s the reader who will share your posts, upvote your posts, click on your videos, interact with you in some way.
So from the readers perspective you’ve got to have content that stands out, say something that's not really been said before, ultimately you’re trying to: Educate, Enlighten or Entertain the readers of your page and do it in a way that nobody else does.
Your Own Perspective
Okay so what do you want from uptrennd: do you want more upvotes, more points, do you want a higher engagement, do you want sales, do you want readers to click on over to your blog posts, do you want to gain more email subscribers. Think about what you really want from your channel on Uptrennd and what your goal is for each of your posts.
When you think about every single post you put up ask yourself: ‘What do I want this post to achieve for myself’
Now that may sound a little silly, given that you want everything, but each post is going to achieve a different goal.
Your image quotes, for example, are there to enlighten and entertain and you ultimately you want them to be shared and get comments.
Your videos are there to possibly educate and enlighten, or if you post funny videos they are there to entertain, but you also want them to be shared, liked and commented on.
Your offers for free ebooks, for example, are there to get you subscribers and ultimately to lead to sales of your products and services.
Your blog post links are there to get clicks over to your site and maybe make money from ads on your site, so you want them to be shared and liked as much as possible to get even more clicks.
The Three Es
Every single one of your posts should fall into one of these categories: Entertain, Educate or Enlighten. So ask yourself every time you are going to post something; "Does it entertain, educate or entertain the reader/viewer?" if the answer is no then don't post it. Okay, that's a quick mindset lesson to think about when posting. Here are 9 ways to get more upvotes on Uptrennd.

1. Add Images
Adding images will keep your readers engaged more on your content and will help them to skim before deciding whether or not to read the whole article.
2. Only Post Great Content
Remember the Three Es. Create great content and your following will go up and readers will keep coming back for more. You want to be known as a person who posts great content and word of mouth and sharing and upvoting will take of your numbers for you. So focus on great content and focus on your readers and the numbers will take care of themselves.
3. Be a Part Of The Community
Your Uptrennd channel is nothing to do with you and your ego it's ALL to do with the community and what you can give to the community so make sure you become a part of the community and read and interact with other users content.
4. Don't Comment For The Upvote
It's become clear to me that a lot of users will just leave a comment for the upvote when it has become clear that the user has not ven read the post they're commenting on. Don't do that as you will lose respect and you won't get the upvote for your comments.
5. Add Links For Videos
Videos are highly engaging and let readers get to know you much better and quicker than the written word can, so if you're a video creator use that content to add to uptrennd.
6. Link To Other Great Content
If you come across Uptrennd content that is really useful then link to it in your own content. this is a sign of respect and keep the community tighter when you do this.
7. Three Posts Per Day
At the moment you can add three posts per day. Think about what you can do every day to add value and think about a series of posts. I have tried a 'Traders Quote Of the Day', you could try other things like Chart Of The Day, News Of the Day, Best Post of The Day, as well as your own content that you post on youtube.
8. Don't Be Afraid To Experiment
the only way to find out what readers really want on Uptrennd is to try new things. Don't be afraid to try something new for a week or two, if it doesn't work try something else.
9. Always Interact With Your Readers
This is very important. I know., I know, you're a busy person but if someone has taken the time out to write a comment to you and it is a genuine comment, then you should take the time to acknowledge that either with an upvote or a reply.
