1. Top Header
- "How Uptrennd Works"
This leads to a page which explains some of the inner workings of Uptrennd, and how the system works. Some would consider this similar to a FAQ section.
- "Earn Points"
If you click, this neat little menu pops up:
^This beautiful section of Uptrennd lets you earn points by watching promoted videos, reading promoted articles, reporting bugs and offering optimization ideas or by completing bounties.
You can also directly puchase points here with Fiat or Crypto.
- "Purchase Advertisement"
Clicking this will bring you to a page that allows you to purchase ad spots and guaranteed views on the platform.
Next,
There are three main content sections on the website;
2. the Trending, Following and Subscribed sections.
- "Trending" Section
This is more of a general section for a broad range of topics that have gained attention from the community.
- "Following" Section
This is the section where you'll see posts from the people you have manually chosen to follow.
- "Subscribed" Section
This section will display posts from communities that you have manually chosen to subscribe to.
Moving on,
There are 3 types of views you can choose from, in order from left to right;
3. Card, Classic and Compact.
- Card View
- Classic View
- Compact View
Next,
There are three types of sorting methods on Uptrennd;
4. Top, New and Popular.
Sorting with "Top": This gives you results for the posts which have gotten the most Upvotes by the community, within the section you have selected (Trending, Following, Subscribed).
Sorting with "New": This gives you results for the the newest posts that have been uploaded by the community, within the section you have selected (Trending, Following, Subscribed)
Sorting with "Popular": This gives you results for the most actively engaged with content in the last 48h, within the section you have selected (Trending, Following, Subscribed)
Now we're getting somewhere,
5. On the top right part of your screen you'll find your Notifications.
6. You'll also find your various Settings menus.
Let's look inside;
7. In this same area there is also your progress bar for Leveling up.
Leveling up is a structural part of Uptrennd, when you level up you are investing into your account and increasing its profitability. Each level gives you 0.005 additional dollars per Upvote received, there is no max level but cost of leveling up increases at a rate of 25% points per level. For example;
Level 1 -> Level 2 requires 125 pts
Level 2 -> Level 3 requires 156.25 additional pts
Level 3 -> Level 4 requires 195.31 additional pts
ect.
You can earn points by receiving Upvotes and receiving Donations, or you can buy points with fiat & crypto.
Got it, what next,
Let's scroll down a bit and to see what else we need to know to become a true Trenndian.
8. Creating a Post.
9. Creating a Community. (Can only be done by level 3 users and up)
10. Selecting Communities to Subscribe to.
Communities are simply topics, by subscribing to them you can personalize your feed and be shown topics which you enjoy discussing and engaging with.
Awesome!
So we have a pretty solid understanding of how to navigate the basic parts of Uptrennd.
...Now what?
Well, it's time to start engaging with the community by commenting and posting content.
This platform supports free speech so.. Feel Free.
Ok, you clicked create post and there's a bunch of stuff there.. I won't leave you hanging like that.
11. Creating a Post (In Depth). This is what it looks like:
You'll need to:
11.1 Select a community (where your post will be placed)
11.2 Write a Title
11.3 Choose to Upload a header Image or Video, to Upload Audio or to embed a Link.
11.4 Get your creative juices flowing and Write a post :)
11.5 If needed, add more pictures throughout your post by clicking the picture image here:
-> It'll open this window:
You don't have to pay attention to all of it for basic use. All you need for now is to click this tab:
Then, click "Choose File" --> Select an image from your computer --> "Open". Finally, click "Send to Server".
Once that's done, you can tweak its resolution if needed, the average monitor is 1080p, these monitors have 1920 horizontal pixels, I'd suggest always reducing the resolution to under 1500 pixels in width.
Click "OK"
12. Boosting your Posts.
Uptrennd has 4 top spots on each landing page, anyone who acquires or earns points can invest those points into boosting their post of choice, which will place it at the top of the page for everyone to see.
You'll find this option in two places;
When creating a new post:
When you enter the amount of views you want to get, it'll show you the amount of points that will cost.
And in your "Manage Post" menu
Worth noting, Selecting "Purchase Advertisement" from the top header and clicking "Boost Post" leads to the same place as the picture above.
13. Other Advertising Opportunities on Uptrennd.
When you navigate to "Purchase Advertisement" on the right of the page header, you'll have multiple choices. Executing on any of them is super straight forward. Any concerns about this can be voiced in the comments bellow and I'll add info here. The choices are:
13.1 Promoted Video
13.2 Promoted Article
13.3 Boost a Post
13.4 Banner Ad
