Thousands of planets and moons have been identified where life is possible. Scientists have compiled two lists of such planets and moons where there is the possibility of life.
One list consist of those planets and moons that resemble Earth & they are known as "Earth Similarity". The second list includes astronomical objects where the possibility of life appears. In addition to Earth, the lists include Saturn's moon "Titan" and a planet in the galaxy Libra, which is 25 light-years from Earth named "G-581".
In the last few years, the search for worlds where life is possible has intensified. The planets in the solar system that have the potential to support life include Mars and Mercury.
