Life they say is a teacher the more we live the more we learn.
Life indeed is made of the good ,the bad and the evil. At some point it gives you sweet, at some point the other way round, learning to know how to manage those two moments is very vital for indeed bad times are temporal and better days ahead.
I see some folks say learning from self mistakes is really not a wise idea but I for sure stand against that.
You can't be perfect in life and require to experience falls at some point, learning from the mistakes made it life making me attest to the phrase that says experience sometimes is the best teacher.
I'll be sharing this life lesson with you though it didn't happen to me directly but to someone close and I believe we all have one or two lessons to pick from it.
It all started few months just into the lockdown to a friend, he worked as a marketing personnel in one of the top banks in town and he happened to pay us a visit on a weekend just to say hi .
He was welcomed with top notch hospitality and got into a discussion with my dad and i happened to be in sitting. My dad asked how his family was fairing, how work was going and on and on till they got to the point he asked if he had a plan B for his job.
He was like plan B. What's plan B?
My dad said to him a second source of income.
I could remember him saying No and my dad advice him to get one because of the nature of his work and the country's state.
The discuss went on and on with several suggestions on what he could venture into affirming he has capital in place to start up. They ended up with him going into farming either poultry, fishery and rabbittery as preference, he settled with fish farming and started his own farm a month later and business have been going well.
Lo and behold the pandemic surfaced rendering everything on hold, for sure everyone was at home spending the money at hand and unfortunately if you don't have a steady source of income ( plan B) for sure you go bankruptcy or live from hand to mouth.
This person was able to survive having lost his job and all because he had a plan B, a second source of income. I'm still yet to enter to the labour marker but I've learnt that lesson to always have a back up plan in all we do.
So that's what I've learnt from his life story and I want you all to pick too.
Always remember to have a plan B, a second source of income.
You can never tell what the future hold.
