Text adventures or as they’re also known ‘Interactive fiction’ first came to us in the 70’s with limited sound, graphics, and processor power. The first games on home computers would hardly raise any sort of interest in the modern era.
Regarded by some as living books. These games used text to describe fantastic worlds to their readers, invited them in to do battle and outwit adversaries. Usually in the form of convoluted puzzles
In Get Lamp these players have carried their memories of these text adventures to the modern day, and a whole new generation of authors have taken up the torch to present a new set of places to explore.
