Don't be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ
Saint Paul says " I am not ashamed of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ"
We shouldn't be ashamed to proclaim or declare our stands in Christ.
Our Lord Jesus say " if you are ashamed of me I will also be ashamed of you before my father in heaven"
Bear in mind the moment you move into righteousness by accepting Jesus Christ, you will be hated by many, do not be afraid of those who hate you because of Christ, for ten thousand shall fall at thy side but none will come near you.
Don't give up on those who hate you because of Christ, keep praying for the holy Spirit to convince them to accept Christ.
And the Lord will see us through.

The best thing to do is to pray for them and ignore whatever thing they try and avoid such too.
