Disappointed

The lock down forces me to buy stuff online and the disappointment have been many. I had ordered a couple of plants and bunch of seeds online with a specific request to the sellers to send the product ASAP as we were staring down at a lock-down again. One seller heeded my request and sent the plants I needed last week. The other didn't bother and I had to follow up a few times to make him send it. I was more worried as these were live plants and would be damaged if they stayed in transit for a long time.


Finally after much follow up I received the parcel today and was so disappointed. Instead of sending two different plant this vendor has sent two of the same plants. Not just that, this one is much cheaper and seems to have some fungal infection. My annoyance is based on two reasons, this vendor is from the other end of my country and it would be impossible to send the plants back. They would be dead by the time they reach him. Secondly, the cost of packing and handling would be more than the actual cost of the plant itself. His response time has been poor throughout this process of ordering and buying the stuff. This makes it all the more difficult for me to work with this vendor any further.


Sadly, this is the way online purchases work here, especially when it comes to plants and seeds. Last month I bought some tubers and seeds and they sent me rotten tubers. The seeds were supposed to have 93% germination has left me with three plants from 50 seeds. The dishonesty of these online vendors annoys me to the core. I have decided that I will not buy plants online, I'd rather trade with local gardeners who are more sincere. 


I have been disappointed with other online purchases also. However, when I buy it through Amazon at least I can send it back at no further cost. Now, I've learned my lesson. No plants online.

It is totally sad and wrong happened with you.. I think you should make a complaint.... 

But I think nothing is happen.. But I requested you next time have a look on the delivery things than make a payment...

I feel your pain.

This online vendor can't be trusted completely and this is the reason why I prefer the payment on delivery method, that way you can confirm what you've bought before paying, although the product one has purchased may be sealed.

You should opt for local gardeners, that is just the best thing to do so that you will be able to see what you want to buy. Now when it comes to plants, it's not just about seeing what you want to buy but seeing it and confirming that it's okay to buy.

But let the annoyance ruin your day ma'am 🙂

Hahahaha I always guide people to not do any shopping via online. Because it is risky. Some people are scammers and they show their product in image so beautiful and gives us cheaper thing. 

 I am feeling sad for you that you get lost and you can never return these plants to them as you order from so far. I never prefer to buy things online.

With the pandemic we have no option but to buy almost all our stuff online. Now, I'll have to wait to get my stuff in the real world. 

However, not all are dishonest.

plants are delicate. Sometimes lack of understanding from the end of the vendor might be the reason.

I have also been disappointed like this too. I was sent a sample of fabric material and it looks so beautiful on phone, then I ordered and I got it at the right time but the fabric didnt worth the amount I paid and if I was to go to the market I wouldn't have bought such material.

Take heart sis. Try local vendors and see the difference

Yip either this was a simple mistake or clear cheating. I doubt it is a mistake because he has sent me a diseased plant as well. It doesn't matter I've learned my lesson. Thank you.

It is really disappointing.Main problem is that people are selling their trust not things.once if anyone cheats it means he want no longer business he just want money.So many cases are here online shoping.we must not trust on them.Before payment we have to check the things.This should be in agreement that after checking the materail we will pay.

That is true, these people do not realize that they are putting a price on their reputation.  I always read the reviews but I guess I was so eager to get the plant LOL
